Hepatobiliar cancer

Hepatobiliar cancer is an umbrella term for several types of cancers affecting the liver, gallbladder and bile ducts. This includes hepatocellular carcinoma, which originates in liver cells, as well as cholangiocarcinoma, which develops in the bile ducts inside or outside the liver. Treatment varies depending on the type and stage of the cancer, but may include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, targeted therapies and, in some cases, liver transplantation. Oncothermia may be a complementary option to help fight the cancer.
